The oldest of seven siblings, Ann grew up on a ranch in Colorado where she learned to ride horses and herd cattle almost as soon as she could walk. Despite her rough-and-tumble ranch life, she became an accomplished ballerina at an early age.
Ann graduated from college in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was commissioned a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army and served initially at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. She received an inter-service transfer to the US Air Force in 1975 and served for an additional 30 years on active duty and in the Reserves. She is a combat veteran and served in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-91. Among her many honors she was the Air Force Reserved Nurse of the year in 1992. She retired from the Air Force in 2004 as a Lt. Colonel.
Ann has worked in OB/GYN and podiatry, in an ad hoc clinic in Nahariya, Israel and in the Stafford Univeristy Spinal Cord Injury Unit. She received her Masters Degree as a Nurse Practioner from George Washington Univeristy and subsequently worked as a nurse practitioner at Dewitt Army Medical Center, at the Langley Clinic, and in other clinics in Smokey Point and Everett Washington.
Ann is the mother of two grown daughters. She lives in Clinton with her husband and is passionate about her horses, Australian Shepherd, cat, and orchids.
She enjoys providing high quality, full spectrum care to her patients at South Island Medical.
